Dear Sir,
In the IUF, we expect that the negotiation
between your company and the Food Workers Union
of Limeira, our affiliate, will continue within
the framework of a democratic, serious and
efficient dialogue.
However, we have been informed about the
implementation of a policy where AJINOMOTO
intends to discredit the union.
This is why, I hereby inform you that the
SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN of AJINOMOTO WORKERS has
become active again, and we will pressure in the
necessary and relevant areas until their fair
demands of the union have been reached.
I would also like to let you know that this
issue will be dealt with in the IUF Global
Committee meeting, to be held in Geneva,
Switzerland on this coming the 14 and 15 April.
Finally, I would like to state again our
commitment with the Food Workers Union of
Limeira, and the decision to support the
industrial actions this affiliate might consider
necessary.
